Clean Green Earth is a website devoted to the awareness and preservation of our planet. Through the use of alternative energy, solar power, wind power, and natural gas, we can keep the air clean and the future bright!

On this site, I invite people of all walks of life, all countries, all ages to learn and comment about what we as a people can do better to keep our skies blue and our waters clean.

On the pages are some of the best ways we can defeat Global Warming, with use of alternative energy sources like solar power, wind power and natural gas. We can also slow down the rate of waste that is polluting and destroying the places that we call home by believing in a lifestyle of conservation and recycling.

Why Go Green?

Going green is not just a fad.

In the past 10 years or so, there has been a great awakening as Generation X has begun to age and mature. There has been a dramatic realization that if we do not change the way we live, Planet Earth is doomed. The baby boomers are considered “The Greatest Generation” for their contributions to the infrastructure and invention that went on in American as well as the rest of the world. Now, Generation X has begun a movement to place this generation in the books for contribution toward stewardship of the planet.

The need to fix some of the mistakes that the earlier generations have produced is definite and we need to bring back our Clean Green Earth. With all of the invention, there was a belief that we would be able to sustain with increases in technology as it exponentially grew. However one of the byproducts for all of the technological advances is being seen today.

The advance in cars from the 1920s through the 1990s was undoubtedly phenomenal. These cars are safer, better built, more powerful, and more reliable…however, they also produce an enormous amount of air pollution due to just the population of cars on the road. Today, we are seeing a change in attitude as people are starting to conserve and drive green cars like hybrids and compressed natural gas (CNG) as well as high MPG compacts.

The power grid was an enormous feat that the previous generation created and build this great nation on. However, we are seeing the side effects of nuclear waste and use of dirty fuels like coal and gas. But change is upon us and the electric generating plants are using alternative fuels like natural gas, clean coal, and more efficient nuclear facilities. Solar power and wind power generator use is growing in popularity as is hydro generation.

The population is exponentially growing and there are questions as to how long we can sustain on this Earth without renewable resources like oil and clean water. The Earth is warming, the polar ice caps are melting and drought has become a common word. There is no doubt we have big problems right now, but there is also no doubt that the Generation that expanded the internet into the most common information resource has the ability to change and repair.
